WORKING WITH FERGA

As everybody is unique and experiences things differently, I am able, thanks to many different trainings, to adapt each session and each approach to suit your needs. Counselling provides an opportunity for people to think through and talk about complex, often painful, issues in their lives, with the help of an experienced, warm, kind, impartial guide and supporter.

Depending on the the complexity of each person's situation, I offer between 1 and 4 sessions of mutual assessment to discuss what you might want from therapy and for you to feel whether I am the right person for you to work with. I offer therapy in complete confidence, without judgement, in a professional, safe, comfortable clinic setting. Together we can explore areas of your life which cause you distress; reflect on them; and consider how we can help you to change for the better or possibly come to accept some situations which are by themselves life changing.

Counselling

While dual qualified as both a counsellor and a psychotherapist, the differences are not always clear-cut. Broadly speaking, Counselling provides an opportunity for people to think through and talk about complex issues in their lives, with the help of an experienced, impartial supporter. As a general rule, counselling tends to focus on what is happening to you in the present; how that is impacting your life now; how to resolve issues in the present; and how to develop ways of coping in the 'Now'. Counselling can be very valuable for people who find themselves at a crossroads in life and who need to explore which direction to take.

Ferga offers appointments every Tuesday from 9 a.m. into the evening; Wednesday evenings; Thursdays evenings; Fridays afternoon and evening; Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

What people say about Ferga Robinson ...

"I went to see Ferga because I suffered from severe anxiety to the point where I would pass out. I found Ferga to be extremely approachable and I was put at ease and found her to be understanding and compassionate to my problems I would truly recommend anyone visiting Ferga for treatment as she has truly turned my life around and I am now feeling better than I have for years." - RJ

"At first I was unsure about therapy in general, but after the first two sessions I knew I had chosen the right therapist. Ferga always managed to keep me positive (even though I would always try to put a negative judgement on everything) and stop me spiralling further into worries. A great friendly and professional therapist. I only wish I hadn't left it so long before asking for help." - BC

"How fortunate we are in Eastbourne to have this gem of a clinic that offers a wide range of natural therapies and treatments."
